The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

I think that my favorite time of the year is now upon us. In the past few weeks it seems that the weather has dramatically changed. We went from having days where the temperature was in the upper 80’s, to days where the temperature was in the upper 60’s. I know it may seem odd that I prefer chilly, cold weather over hot, sunny weather. I am not sure exactly why I do. I just know that Fall has always been my favorite season, and I would much rather it be cool and windy than hot and humid. I love everything about the season. I love when the leaves change to shades of red, gold, and yellow. I love the local Fall festivals, and carving pumpkins for Halloween. When the weather is cold and chilly, I love being able to cozy up with a book indoors. I think the main reason I love Fall so much is because, to me, the season brings a sense of nostalgia. I have so many pleasant memories associated with the season. When we were younger, my sister and I would rake all the leaves in our yard into one humongous pile (we had a very big yard). After that we would jump right in and throw fistfuls up into the air so they floated down like snowflakes. Because of these good memories, Fall will always be my favorite season.
